    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Helper to assist the main maintenance technician in the preparation of trailers for major delivery companies. This role involves hands-on tasks such as bending conduit, running wire, and using various tools. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn and capable of supporting the maintenance technician with essential tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist the main maintenance technician in various tasks.

    + Bend conduit using a crowbar or pipe bender.

    + Run wire and perform electrical wiring tasks.

    + Operate basic hand tools and power tools, including an impact drill and small handheld saw.

    + Perform assembly and production tasks as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools.

    + Ability to bend conduit and run wiring.

    + Experience in assembly and production tasks.

    + Familiarity with electrical and commercial electrical systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No specific qualifications required.

    + Experience with carpentry or construction is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a small shop where the majority of work is conducted indoors. The large bay doors are typically open, providing a cool atmosphere. No steel-toed boots are required, and wearing shorts is acceptable. While most tasks are completed under a roof, occasional outdoor work may be necessary. Tools and safety glasses are provided for your convenience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windber, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
