Job Summary and Responsibilities

Ensures safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing operative procedures. Renders nursing care within the surgical suite. Circulates or scrubs on all surgical procedures. Responsible for pre-surgical assessment of the patient, the intra-operative process and the post procedure discharge.

**ALL REGISTERED NURSES** will render professional nursing care to patients, support medical care as directed by physicians. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The RN shall support Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities and patient satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

+ At least one year experience in the Operating Room, scrub and circulating required

+ Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required

Education:

+ ASN or Nursing Diploma, required

+ Completion of a post-graduate course in the Operating Room required

Licensure:

+ Current and active CA RN license

+ Current BLS certification from American Heart Association

Preferred:

+ BSN

+ CNOR (Certified Nurse-Operating Room)

Pay Range

$99.36 - $107.31 /hour
