Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Attorney to join an established legal team with offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Bernardino.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a firm that has served California for over a century. The role offers a collaborative work environment, opportunities for growth, and a hybrid work arrangement with office attendance required 2-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general liability cases from inception through trial, ensuring all aspects of case progression are handled effectively.

• Conduct discovery processes, including depositions, to gather critical information.

• Draft and argue motions to support case strategy and legal objectives.

• Represent clients during court appearances and maintain strong advocacy skills.

• Prepare pleadings and other legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel to ensure alignment and case updates.

• Take on trial responsibilities, including serving as second chair or first chair when required.

• Collaborate with colleagues across offices to leverage resources and expertise.

• Maintain a reasonable workload with no formal billable hour requirement, typically billing 130 to 180 hours per month.

Requirements • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the state of California.

• At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on general liability or insurance defense.

• Proficient in drafting motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.

• Skilled in conducting discovery, including depositions.

• Strong courtroom experience, including trial preparation and participation.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

• Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
