Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations
Consumer, Small & Business Banking Operations delivers a broad set of operational processes supporting CSBB customers, including customer servicing, ATM management, cash vaults, print solutions, estate care, and various retail banking processes such as abandoned property, legal orders, account reconciliation, and account maintenance.
The Role
The Head of Account Handling, Legal Services and Estate Care Center, CSBB Operations Executive is a newly established executive role reporting directly to the CSBBO Head of Banking Operations. This leader will oversee a large-scale organization delivering a broad spectrum of essential services to Wells Fargo customers and related parties. These include estate care (support to beneficiaries and representatives of deceased customers), legal order processing (such as garnishments and summons and subpoenas), monitoring and escheatment of unclaimed property, and various account maintenance and resolution activities.
The role is responsible for driving day-to-day performance across all functional areas, ensuring delivery against customer experience, risk, financial, and people objectives. It is also accountable for delivering process optimization and synergies across the group, as well as delivering a multi-year strategic roadmap to integrate advanced technologies, including AI capabilities, and modernize core workflows.
This role will interface with senior leadership in several lines of business in Wells Fargo, with a significant focus on Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) and Wealth and Investment Management (WIM), as well as other groups in Global Operations and within Risk and Control organizations.
Responsibilities include:
+ Strategic Leadership:
+ Engage with leaders and employees to understand business strengths and opportunities. Establish performance metrics, routines, and reporting to monitor and celebrate team success.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with Lines of Business, HR, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Operations to build a strong culture and deliver best-in-class services.
+ Program Oversight & Risk Management
+ Assess program interdependencies, drive resiliency, ensure control ownership, and provide transparency to executive leadership and regulators.
+ Executive Communication & Governance
+ Deliver coordinated oversight through presentations, networking, and reporting to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
+ 8+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
+ 4+ years of management experience.
Desired Qualifications
+ Proven experience to lead large, (1000+) complex, cross-functional teams and programs including highly matrixed, fast-paced environment with evolving technology and regulatory landscapes.
+ Strong background in risk management, automation, and operational optimization.
+ Executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
+ Experience in financial services with a focus on regulatory and customer-facing operations.
+ Ability to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, actionable strategies.
+ Passion for talent development and fostering an inclusive workplace.
+ Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a bias for action.
+ Experience influencing strategic direction and operational execution across Banking Operations.
+ Knowledge of compliance with regulatory requirements and delivers high-quality customer experience.
+ Experience with internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership and regulators.
+ Deep operational knowledge and the ability to manage interdependent initiatives.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
