    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Market Risk Specialist for the Market Risk Governance and Regulatory Relations team within Corporate Market Risk Group (CMRG), focused primarily on regulatory commitments, RCSA activities, audit / testing engagements, control development and procedures, issue management (audit / regulatory) and strategic initiatives.

     

    This role will cover several key CMRG governance functions, including significant exposure across the various trading desks, Market Risk Oversight (MRO), and support functions such as business COOs, control teams, compliance, internal audit, etc.

    In this role, you will:

    + Lead governance activities for CMRG, focused on ensuring our procedures and controls are effective and we can evidence adherence

    + Participate in remediating internal issues (self-identified, audit, etc.) and regulatory commitments, partnering with the broader Market and Counterparty Risk Management (MCRM) team to develop corrective actions and drive execution efforts

    + Manage RCSA activities for CMRG, focused on ensuring the key risks, major compliance requirements and controls are sufficient and that our controls are well documented and are being executed effectively

    + Update CMRG procedures and communicate changes to broader CMRG organization, ensuring market risk mandates, processes, etc. are updated as needed

    + Lead or participate in risk program development and provide oversight of market risk activities

    + Implement initiatives with moderate to high risk and lead team to meet market risk deliverables, partnering with broader CMRG organization

    + Leverage solid understanding of risk management challenges and provide input with focus on risk disclosures, remediation, due diligence, suitability, and reputation risk

    Required Qualifications:

    + 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: trading, desk analyst, Capital Markets, market risk, interest rate risk, corporate risk RCSA activities, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Proven track record in governance oversight for corporate risk, including the development and management of procedures.

    + Hands-on experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes, covering service models, risk identification, control implementation, and testing.

    + Skilled in managing regulatory commitments and internal priorities by creating actionable plans and driving execution.

    + Demonstrated ability to ensure effective governance programs, oversight mechanisms, and control frameworks.

    + Collaborative experience working with trading desks and support teams to deliver on strategic initiatives and key priorities.
