    Overview

     

    Acts as a liaison between internal teams to ensure accurate and complete data reporting for internal and external solutions supporting Reliance Rx initiatives. The Data Validation Analyst develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) for existing and new reports, works collaboratively with other data team professionals to meet business and customer deadlines, and independently performs and documents reviews of data projects for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to business requirements. The Data Validation Analyst is responsible for performing quality verification tasks and ensuring the accuracy of reported data. They apply analytical and problem-solving skills to the design, planning, execution, and deployment of assigned projects using approved processes to ensure the satisfaction of the defined and documented data quality requirements of the business.

     

    This position determines best practice approach for audit, validation, redevelopment, and usefulness of assigned data sets and reports. Implements SOP to investigate issues and coordinate efforts between the end user and related departments and external agencies to correct data discrepancies.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required. Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or Business preferred.

    + One (1) year of experience with pharmacy or medical claims and/or data analysis, reporting and/or verification with ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions required.

    + Baseline ability to understand SQL and Relational and Analytical Database concepts, including dynamic querying and generation of stored procedures and functions.

    + Ability to navigate file structures such as CSV files, Excel spreadsheets, relational databases, cubes to locate and extract data.

    + Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Qlik, Cognos, ArcGIS, Tableau); knowledge of data analytics, preferred.

    + Experience working with large datasets.

    + Identify problematic areas with the data and research to determine the best course of action to correct the data.

    + Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel capabilities preferred.

    + Experience working within departmental standards, procedures, and data quality requirements.

    + Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges; ability to multitask, prioritize and deliver results on time under pressure.

    + High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Strong desire to learn and highly self-motivated.

    + Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

    + Ability to communicate well with teams in the execution of validation activities both orally and in writing.

    + Ability to build effective relationships across diverse internal and external groups.

    Essential Accountabilities

    + Understand and utilize SQL queries to extract and summarize information to verify intended results prior to the end-use of the data and/or report.

    + Develop a level of subject matter expertise with each new project.

    + Write and maintain documentation of the validation processes.

    + Write validation reports containing/explaining the analyses performed and their results.

    + Maintain a detailed and comprehensive record of each validation project through work papers and other acceptable project artifacts.

    + Involved in good documentation practice of different stages of validation life cycle.

    + Clearly and concisely document and communicate validation findings to business and leadership.

    + Provide technical decision-making regarding validation strategies for complex projects.

    + Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to leadership.

    + Ensure timely delivery of results of secondary review by managing workload effectively.

    + Work to ensure resolution of identified project problems, issues, deficiencies, inaccuracies etc. and escalates appropriately.

    + Proactively identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline testing and/or quality but stay compliant.

    + Maintain up to-date skills of new tools and technologies and implement accordingly.

    + Create and distribute reports to the end user accurately and in a timely manner.

    Hiring Compensation Range: $22.50 - $27.50 hourly

     

    _Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience._

     

    In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
