Surgical Associate – Surgery Department

Work location: Texas Health Southlake 1545 E Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092

Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours a week. Monday through Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm

Here’s What You Need

+ H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required

+ previous patient care experience is preferred

+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required

+ Read, write and speak English; Able to stand/walk for majority of hours of their work shift; Easily move heavy equipment & supplies (up to 250 lbs on wheels) without endangering themselves or others.

What You Will Do

+ Completes routine stocking chores:

+ Ensures two arm boards and safety strap available for case

+ Stocks and replaces suction liners

+ Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites.

+ Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery.

+ Follows directions of circulating nurse in obtaining equipment, instruments and supplies as requested.
