As a Business Program Manager intern on the Surface Business Team, you will work on high-impact projects that span multiple parts of the business. You will **lead a strategic project that tackles** **a real business** **challenge** , **collaborate** **cross-** **functionally, generate** **insights that inform leadership decisions, and recommend actions that drive measurable outcomes** .
This role offers visibility into both the strategic and operational sides of the business, with opportunities to work closely with Surface leadership and influence the direction of one of Microsoft’s most innovative product lines.

This internship will take place during the summer of 2026.
Responsibilities
+ **Lead a strategic project** to solve a high-impact business problem for the Surface Business, from problem definition to delivering recommendations.
+ **_Collaborate with cross-functional teams (_** _product, marketing, finance, etc.) to develop and implement solutions._
+ **Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and portfolio prioritization** to inform decision-making.
+ **Develop and present recommendations** to leadership that drive growth, efficiency, or customer/partner value.
Qualifications
Required** **Qualifications:
+ Currently pursuing Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
+ Must have at least one additional semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship
+ 3+ years of experience in business operations, program management, strategic planning, consulting, or a related field OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in consulting, product strategy, program management, or enterprise sales
+ Familiarity with Surface products or Microsoft’s commercial ecosystem
+ Previous experience or education in computer science, engineering
+ Proven analytical, communication, and storytelling skills
The base pay range for this internship is USD $5120.00 - $10130.00 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $6720.00 - $11200.00 per month.
