The nature of this role is highly externally focused, requiring frequent travel and meetings on and off campus during regular and non-traditional business hours, and is therefore expected to operate with high-levels of autonomy. Essential Functions Purpose + **Champion a culture of excellence and high performance** by driving organizational commitment to our values, culture, and employee engagement. + **Lead the charge in tracking, analyzing, and presenting fundraising performance metrics** to ensure we meet our established goals. Collaboration + **Lead and inspire fundraising teams across Auburn University** , coaching development staff and forging strong partnerships with campus leaders to enhance philanthropic support. + **Collaborate closely with the Associate Vice President** to execute and oversee impactful fundraising programs, including annual giving initiatives and special projects. + **Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors, alumni, foundations, and corporate partners** to advance Auburn’s mission. Innovation + **Spearhead change initiatives** that emphasize organizational growth and performance. + **Lead the exploration of data-driven approaches** to personalize donor experiences, enhancing both engagement and long-term loyalty. + **Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies** that leverage emerging trends and technologies to expand Auburn’s donor base and enhance engagement. Production + **Travel extensively to engage with donors, prospects, and development staff** , representing Auburn with passion and dedication. + **Operate with autonomy and flexibility** , adapting to a highly externally focused role that demands frequent travel and varied hours.
