    Team Members to provide exceptional service in our cafes and retail markets! The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) located at the Memphis, TN VA Medical Center, is seeking full- time Retail Associates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to serving America’s Heroes

    Duties:

    + Assists customer in locating products & provides detailed information to enhance their shopping experience.

    + Handles sales transactions efficiently using a cash register, ensuring accuracy & customer satisfaction.

    + Restocks merchandise and ensures products are properly labeled for display.

    + Maintains a clean & organized store environment, ensuring a pleasant & efficient shopping experience.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.

    + Excellent customer service skills

    + Basic math skills for handling transactions.

    + Requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending.

    + Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

    + One year of experience in the service industry is preferred but not required.

    + Familiarity with retail software and point-of-sale systems is a plus.

     

    Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). Participation in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment. It is a requirement that all HCP receive the annual seasonal influenza vaccination or obtain an exemption for medical or religious reasons.
