    Job Information

     

    As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support increasing competency around manufacturing technology through complex tests and development of technical assignments. Conduct a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Support testing process by assisting in the application of test fixtures or equipment, or in the modification of components and sub-assemblies to be tested. Provide feedback to manufacturing teams during development and test processes. Provide general maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Support to manufacturing operations on process, tools, and design to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

     

    Role & Responsibility

     

    Process Analysis

     

    + Interpret prints to ensure parts/machines meet specifications.

    + Recommend modifications to preliminary engineering designs for the purpose of process, safety, quality, and cost.

    + Work with appropriate departments during prototype and pilot builds to ensure product or component meets process and design specifications. Investigate and recommend modifications to parts or process.

    + Program & Troubleshoot-Program equipment (laser, press brake, machining centers, robots, etc.)

    + Study specifications/plan sequence of operations for manufacturing processes.

    + Assist in the evaluation, justification, design, selection and implementation of machines, tools and equipment that increases quality and reduces cost.

    + Assist in the investigation of manufacturing processes or problems (safety, quality, delivery, cost). Make and implement recommendations to resolve and/or correct such problems.

    + Implement engineering changes on the shop floor along with writing work instructions and training the operators.

    + Assist with project implementation and start up assistance.

    + Apply established engineering procedures and programs to establish manufacturing standards and methods for manpower, material, and equipment utilization.

     

    Job Requirement

     

    + Technical - Associates Degree or Allow Equivalent

    + Strong applied mechanical skills and willingness to use them.

    + Valid Driver's License Required

    + Good written and verbal communication

    + Physical Demands: The overall level of work is defined as heavy duty. Employees are expected to exert 51-70 pounds of force occasionally, 21-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 11-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

    + 0>2 years’ experience

    + <10% travel

    + Manufacturing or Product Development experience preferred.
