    Overview

     

    Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Leader to expand our Waterfront and Marine Structures practice in Long Beach, CA and throughout Southern California!

    Responsibilities

    + This position leads business development efforts, manages relationships with key clients, and oversees all project tasks while mentoring the growth of younger staff

    + Has a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

    + Pursuing opportunities that fuel their professional passion and contribute to Kimley-Horn's success

    + Leadership responsibilities include:

    + Growing and leading a Waterfront and Marine Structures practice

    + Operating with integrity and sound business principles

    + Providing vision, business planning and strategy

    + Establishing goals

    + Building and maintaining positive client relationships

    + Having open communication with your partners and team

    + Focuses on recreational waterfront developments, marinas, piers, seawalls, and port facilities

    + Relevant experience includes design for floating structures, floating wave attenuator and fixed breakwater structures, fixed pier and pile supported wharf structures, vessel mooring and berthing structures, and site utilities.

    + Key roles in past projects including wave/environmental loading analysis, interpretive structural modeling analysis, developing project plans and specifications, regulatory and local agency project permitting, and construction management.

    Qualifications

    + Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor

    + With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership

    + Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, required; Master's Degree preferred

    + At least 15 years of experience managing coastal and waterfront projects

     

    Base Salary Range

     

    + $180,000 - $255,000

     

    + Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
