    Description:

    **Purpose** : oversees outpatient rehab department operations, clinical strategies, and patient care to ensure high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered rehabilitation services. Key responsibilities include managing and training staff, developing evidence-based therapy programs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations. The role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, financial acumen, and effective communication to meet patient needs and organizational goals.

    What you will do:

    *Is knowledgeable of and ensures that supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicable current compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments including their responsibility to comply with applicable laws, regulations and Holy Cross Hospital policies as a condition of employment, as well as reporting mechanisms such as the corporate compliance hotline.

    *Works collaboratively with the senior leadership team and the medical staff to

     

    develop and implement a comprehensive and strategic approach to the delivery of outpatient rehabilitation services designed to meet the current and future needs of the community.

     

    *Effectively plans, directs and coordinates all patient care activities within the

     

    department to assure quality care delivery consistent with the Standards of

     

    Excellence and Mission and Philosophy.

     

    *Displays a positive and professional attitude to associates and patients and promotes effective communication among departments.

    *Supervises personnel in a fair and consistent manner.

    *Prepares departmental budget, operational and capital, and oversees its

     

    implementation.

     

    *Assists with purchasing procedures and the maintenance of equipment assigned to areas of responsibility.

    Education & Qualifications:

    *Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree in clinical specialty or business preferred (ideally, from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education - CAHME)

    *Clinical degree from accredited Physical Therapy program (CAPTE) preferred with current state license to practice in specified discipline.

    *Minimum of five years management experience in allied health field, with minimum two years at leadership level; Minimum of ten years clinical experience in specified discipline.

    *Strong understanding of all state, federal and local regulations pertaining to

    outpatient rehabilitation; Strong written and oral communication skills; Strong

    working knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.); Strong working knowledge of the business of healthcare including financial management, cost management, information systems data acquisition and analysis, and competitive trends.
