SUMMARY

Estimate the cost to produce printing jobs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Receive Request for Quote from account services. Ensure all information is complete.

+ Estimate the amount of materials and the setup required to produce the job. Contact vendors to get printing and/or paper and envelope costs. Determine the required amount of press time and manufacturing costs. Determine where to print the job (either in house or vendor).

+ Utilize Print Stream to build and generate a formal estimate.

+ Serve as back up to purchasing supervisor and inventory/purchasing planner, as needed.

+ Comply with company rules and regulations.

+ Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

+ Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.

+ Keep manager informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

+ Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

+ Two-year college degree plus 2-3 years of experience estimating and purchasing in a direct mail or related industry, or equivalent.
