Job Title: HVAC/R Service Technician
Job Description
As an HVAC/R Service Technician, you will complete work assignments and priorities in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration service using established policies, data, and resources. You will collaborate with management, co-workers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks and communicating progress and information. You will determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities, adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
Responsibilities
+ Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
+ Identify business needs and determine necessary processes and practices.
+ Monitor progress and results, recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local HVAC/R industry regulations and guidelines by conducting inspections and making repairs.
+ Model compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
+ Complete and submit required paperwork such as expense vouchers, summaries, refrigerant logs, and work orders.
+ Ensure available resources for HVAC/R maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory.
+ Record HVACV/R purchases and usage, track and order parts, and develop relationships with suppliers and contractors.
+ Ensure working order of HVAC/R and EMS systems by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
+ Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and manage district workloads with external service providers.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
+ Service and hand tool proficiency.
+ Field service experience.
+ Preventive maintenance expertise.
+ Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years’ experience in related field.
+ Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Blueprint reading and interpretation.
+ Ability to travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.
+ Experience working or training at multiple facilities or distant locations.

Work Environment
The work environment involves moving through narrow, confined spaces such as stacks of merchandise or supplies, storage areas, and closets. Travel is required to multiple facilities or work-sites, with overnight stays necessary on occasion.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Providence, Rhode Island.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Work truck provided
Sign on bonus of 1k after 30 days
another bonus after 6 months of 1k
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Providence,RI.
