    Production Worker

     

    Pay: $22-23/Hour

     

    Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team in the door shop of a leading building products wholesaler, where you'll play a crucial role in the finishing process of doors. This hands-on position involves lifting and staging doors, operating forklifts, and offers room for growth into more advanced roles utilizing pneumatic staplers and power drills.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze and resolve work problems to ensure smooth production.

    + Collaborate with a team to create and build quality products.

    + Palletize and prepare finished orders for shipment.

    + Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

    + Enact company policies and abide by safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift/move/manipulate up to 100 pounds.

    + High School diploma or GED.

    + Strong problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.

    + Excellent attention to detail.

    + Ability to read a tape measurer accurately and consistently to 1/16”.

    + 1 year of experience with hand and power tool experience (Preferred).

    + Ability to perform all job functions safely.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read and interpret verbal instructions, diagrams, and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    + Military experience preferred and consistent work history.

    Work Environment

     

    The door shop can be somewhat noisy, but is maintained clean. The role operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position requires wearing steel-toed boots and may involve lifting heavy materials. Expect a physically demanding role where production continuity is key.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
