Job Title: DrafterJob Description
This position provides design and drafting support to the R&D, Sustaining R&D, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
+ Produce drawings and documents using SOLIDWORKS software.
+ Perform engineering design calculations.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to collect project information and communicate findings both orally and in writing.
+ Collaborate as a team member on various projects.
+ Design and produce 3D printed fixtures for manufacturing and testing.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, and tooling design.
+ Experience with revision control and drawing standards.
+ Strong drafting skills for entry-level mechanical engineers or 4+ years of experience in mechanical design industries (e.g., aerospace, defense).
+ Training in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ Hands-on experience in the lab, building parts or prototyping.
+ Bachelor's degree or associate’s degree in drafting or STEM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with creating complex parts & drawings, assemblies in SolidWorks or other drafting applications such as Solid Edge or Pro E.
+ Experience with PDM system administration within SolidWorks, Windchill, PTC Creo, or Siemens Teamcenter.
+ Familiarity with medical device design control and the medical device industry.
+ Junior to mid-level engineers who are strong in drafting.
+ Medical device experience is not required.
Work Environment
Located in Texas at a site supporting both R&D and manufacturing. Products include Intelliblade (microwave ablation) and cryotherapy systems for cancer treatment. On-site work is required, with flexible hours depending on transition and training. Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.17 - $46.62/hr.
