Devereux’s National Quality Improvement Department is seeking a Risk Manager, for our Florida Center. Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Quality Management, this position will and managing risk related activities to identify, assess, mitigate and monitor regulatory and operational risks within our Florida Center. This role will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accreditation standards while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all levels of care.
* Please note that the position will be located in Central Florida.
**Key Responsibilities will** :
+ Assess risk and management of potential risk across clinical and operational domains, including client safety, staff safety and legal liability.
+ Conduct investigations of adverse events and critical incidents and perform root cause analysis.
+ Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation.
Qualifications
The successful Quality Improvement Manager candidate will have:
+ Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Behavioral Health, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in risk management, investigations, quality assurance, or compliance within a behavioral health setting.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience of people management, strong customer service and consultative skills.
+ Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
+ Must have experience with data reporting and analytic skills. Experience with Power Apps preferred.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills to perform investigation and problem-solving.
+ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
+ Knowledge and understanding of project management, Devereux’s specialty areas/business lines, as well as the accreditation process.
+ Must have superior writing and oral communication and relationship building skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Systems.
+ Requires flexibility and an ability to adapt to the demands of rapidly changing priorities. Must demonstrate use of sound judgement and be able to make quick and accurate decisions independently.
