    Position: Design and Engagement Coordinator

     

    Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends (fully in-person role)

     

    Status: Full Time

     

    Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 Annually

    Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and creative Design and Engagement Coordinator to lead the development of high-impact visual materials, immersive environments, and meaningful volunteer experiences. This multifaceted role blends hands-on design—including print, digital, and interior/event space design—with project coordination, community involvement, and direct interaction with individuals with developmental disabilities.

     

    From concept to completion, you’ll manage creative projects that support outreach, awareness, and connection—whether through designing materials, transforming spaces, or facilitating interactive activities that bring volunteers and participants together. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires creativity, flexibility, and a strong sense of initiative—ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage and execute creative projects from concept to final delivery, actively contributing at every stage.

    + Design print and digital materials such as invitations, flyers, brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and signage.

    + Conceptualize and execute uniquely themed interiors and event spaces tailored to the needs of individuals served, enhancing functionality and emotional impact.

    + Develop and manage project/event timelines, budgets, vendors, and logistics to ensure timely delivery.

    + Create and organize interactive activities and themed events designed to engage individuals with disabilities and foster volunteer interaction.

    + Coordinate volunteers and staff—balancing diverse personalities and work styles—to support programs and events.

    + Develop promotional strategies to increase visibility, engagement, and participation.

    + Conduct solicitations via phone, mail, online platforms, and in-person, adapting outreach to the audience.

    + Capture event photography and create social media content that drives engagement.

    + Plan and coordinate volunteer appreciation events and recognition campaigns.

    + Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

    + Must be available to work periodic evenings and weekends for events and special projects

    + Event set-up is physical and hands-on: candidate must be able to lift/carry heavy items, climb ladders, and assist with staging/setup as needed

    + No remote work option: this is a fully in-person role

     

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

     

    + College credits or degree preferred; experience working with individuals with disabilities a plus

    + Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required; familiarity with CRM/database management preferred

    + Experience using a professional camera and editing software a plus

    + Comfortable performing physical tasks as part of creative execution and able to lift/carry heavy items

    + Proactive, collaborative, and mission-aligned mindset

    + Strong ability to interact professionally with donors and stakeholders while maintaining discretion, confidentiality, and integrity

    + Role involves potential travel requirements. Dependable transportation required.
