    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Director to join one of their top financial clients in New York City. This individual will be joining the Global Commercial Services Technology organization, specifically the Business Banking portfolio. This individual will be responsible for leading a mid size team of green to mid level developers and will be expected to be a hands on mentor. While this role does not require hands on coding, there is no middle tier management layer, so we are seeking someone with prior experience in people management, and a strong enough technical background in development to provide hands on guidance. While balancing people management, this individual will be owning multiple technical initiatives and deliverables, partnering with technical leaders, product, risk, and compliance to design the road map and push major changes forward, owning all accountability. An ideal candidate will be hungry and eager to become a SME within this portfolio and space and will be comfortable balancing high level objectives while also being in the weeds.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -8+ years experience within application development and architecture

     

    -2+ years experience within leadership and people management – should be comfortable being a hands leader for mid size teams

    -Technical background in React and Java

    -Proven track record partnering cross functionally with other development teams, product, business stakeholders, risk etc. to drive road maps and large scale technical deliverables

     

    -Experience at a FinTech or tech forward company
