Job Summary
The Office of Orientation & Transition has the primary focus of assisting new students and their families as they transition to the University through comprehensive programs that take place throughout the calendar year. To support these efforts, the Office of Orientation & Transition hires student Office Assistants who play a vital role in the function of the day-to-day operation of the office as well as provide a positive and enthusiastic experience for all undergraduate students and their families.
Responsibilities
+ Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, reply to voicemails, greeting guests, managing email, and other clerical tasks.
+ Act as a resource to new and returning students, parents, faculty, and staff.
+ Assist in preparation for Utah Bound Orientation sessions, and have a formal understanding of Utah Bound Orientation Programs, including driving and parking instructions, campus locations, dates, schedule, etc.
+ Maintain all databases for Orientation & Transition; Gather and assemble information for various events and reports.
+ Foster positive working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and community and campus partners.
+ Represent our office when needed during any programming our office sponsors.
+ Other duties as assigned.
