This opportunity entails being responsible for leading and managing a technology department within the HNTB Digital Solutions Practice or a project team for a program or client. The Technology Department Manager will work with the technology team to plan, execute, and deliver technology solutions for various projects and clients and will also oversee the technology budget, resources, and performance for the department.

What You’ll Do:

+ Leads and manages the technology department within the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

+ Works with the technology team to plan, execute, and deliver technology solutions for various projects and clients, using best practices and industry standards.

+ Oversees the technology budget, resources, and performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Provides technical leadership and guidance to the technology team, mentoring and coaching them on technical skills and career development.

+ Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, partners, etc.

+ Evaluates and implements new technologies, tools, and processes to improve the quality and innovation of the technology department.

+ Ensures compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements for the technology department.

+ Manages the technology staff by recruiting, training, and evaluating their performance.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, including, or

+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 9 years of relevant experience, or

+ In lieu of education, 14 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

+ Proficiency in various technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the organization’s domain

+ Knowledge of technology best practices and industry trends

+ Ability to lead and manage the technology department within the organization

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

What We Prefer:

+ 3 years of experience in leading and managing technology teams and projects.
