Position Summary

Maintains the electrical system and equipment throughout the plant. Installs upgrades, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical safety to machinery and building.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions

+ + Installation of high voltage equipment for power distribution.

+ + Wiring of machine and support equipment.

+ + Additions and upgrades to production machinery.

+ + Troubleshoots machines and equipment.

+ + Addition, repair and maintenance of the computer network system.

+ + Calibrations and documentation of the computer network system.

+ + Calibrations and documentation of equipment on machines and building.

+ + Work with contractors on the maintenance and repair of electrical system.

+ + Order parts for building, machines and plant lighting.

+ + Complete MWO & PM cards as required.

+ + On-call for 2nd and 3rd shifts if breakdowns or electrical problems occur.

+ Troubleshooting with customers on equipment out in the field.

Basic Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications - (Sr. Electrician)

+ College or University program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Ability to read blueprints.

+ Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.

+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

+ Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

+ Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.

+ Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

+ Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Working Conditions

+ Manufacturing environment.

+ Exposed to moving mechanical parts.

+ Hearing protection recommended.

+ Hair, beard nets and smocks required.

+ Exposure to odors associated with manufacturing.
