    As part of the growth of our global activities, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) VIE Coordinator to join our team abroad. This VIE opportunity is ideal for a young talent eager to discover best practices in Environment, Health, and Safety, contribute fresh perspectives to local teams, and bring both French and international expertise to a dynamic environment.

During this experience, the HSE VIE Coordinator will gain an exceptional understanding of HSE standards and US

     

    regulations, project management and communication skills, practical experience in risk assessment and conducting audits, increased proficiency in spoken and written English, and intercultural experiences.

     

    The assigned tasks aim to support local teams on development issues, assist with specific improvement projects, and promote the sharing of best practices.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Implement and update policies and procedures necessary to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

    • Monitor and track HSE metrics and data, and ensure reporting compliance with federal, state,local, and corporate regulatory programs.

    • Develop and facilitate training to strengthen the HSE culture, ensure safety compliance, and organize safety and environmental awareness campaigns to continually promote a safe and healthy work environment.

    • Coordinate emergency drills, such as fire drills, to ensure equipment is properly functioning and staff are aware of what to do in the event of an emergency. Analyze results to optimize protocols.

    • Promote best practice sharing and drive participative innovation amongst employees. Lead, assist, and sustain 5S standards site-wide.

    • Support and implement strategies to improve safety and environmental practices for facilitywide activities, including equipment and process changes.

    • Collaborate with operation, engineering, and quality teams to ensure a safe working

     

    environment.

     

    • Perform risk assessments and safety audits to ensure controls are implemented to eliminate or reduce hazards in the workplace including work environment, ergonomic conditions, and personal protective equipment.

    • Perform accident and near-miss investigations to identify root-causes for reoccurrence prevention.

    • Perform routine audits to evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Physical/Environmental Requirements:

    • Sit for extended periods of time while operating office equipment

    • Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment

    • Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

    • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    Education and Experience:

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field. Master's degree is preferred

    • 3 years of related experience required. 5 years+ preferred.
