Job description
The Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist plays a key role in attracting, selecting, and developing top talent to support Safran Helicopter Engines' strategic goals. This position combines recruiting expertise with a passion for employee growth, contributing to both immediate hiring needs and long-term talent development initiatives. The Specialist partners closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to deliver a seamless candidate experience and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Talent Acquisition
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, qualifications, and success profiles.
• Manage requisitions and candidate pipelines using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Source candidates through diverse channels including job boards, social media, networking events, and passive outreach.
• Serve as the first point of contact for candidates, promoting Safran's employer brand and values.
• Screen and assess candidates to ensure alignment with job requirements and organizational culture.
• Advise hiring managers on recruitment strategies, market trends, and candidate insights.
• Coordinate interview logistics and support hiring teams throughout the selection process.
• Partner with HR leadership to develop competitive and equitable compensation offers.
• Track and report key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and candidate experience.
Learning & Development
• Support onboarding programs to ensure new hires are equipped for success from day one.
• Collaborate with HR and department leaders to identify skill gaps and recommend learning solutions.
• Maintain training records and support compliance with internal and external training requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging participation in development programs.
Talent Development
• Contribute to talent reviews and succession planning efforts by providing insights on candidate potential and performance.
• Support career development initiatives, including mentoring programs and individual development plans.
• Help identify high-potential employees and coordinate targeted development opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of development programs and recommend improvements.
Candidate skills & requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR support roles.
• Exposure to learning and development or talent management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with modern ATS platforms and HRIS systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for talent development and employee growth.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Experience recruiting in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
• HR or recruiting certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS).
• Experience with employer branding and university relations.
