Job Description
This position exists to provide business unit strategy and direction, manage operations, and monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for the college’s Perkins Grant, K-12 partnerships, Concurrent, and PSEO by contract relationships. This position engages in extensive collaboration with external stakeholders, in particular: Minnesota State University partner administrators, staff, and faculty, Mn State concurrent enrollment directors, school district administrators, individual high school administrators, staff, and instructors, and Mn State system office and MDE staff. Enhancing access to college education for high school students through expanding high school partnerships, particularly PSEO and concurrent enrollment.
In addition, this position exists to analyze state and federal Perkins legislation and to develop and write the annual college-wide Perkins plan. This includes acting as a liaison with Minnesota State; recommending and supporting policy modifications at the state and college level; researching and writing the Perkins annual plan and Perkins annual performance report; employing research methodologies to analyze supporting data; tracking and evaluating achievement of goals; developing and coordinating the management of the college Perkins budget. This position requires extensive knowledge of Perkins and related legislation. This position also coordinates college pathways to ensure alignment with NHCC’s strategic vision and goals. This position is also critical in NHCC’s outreach to high schools to increase access and opportunities for diverse populations traditionally underserved by higher education.
Salary Range:
$28.26 - $41.43 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications
+ Two years of experience working in education or workforce development. A master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience, and an associate degree may substitute for 6 months of experience.
+ Experience with educational organizations/institutions.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Strong relationship-building ability.
Preferred Qualification
+ Master’s degree from an accredited university.
+ Lead worker or management experience.
+ Experience with Carl Perkins grant activities.
+ Working knowledge of the relationship between secondary and post-secondary educational systems.
+ Evidence of commitment to the success of culturally, ethnically and racially diverse learners
+ Experience with concurrent enrollment and deploying NACEP standards.
+ Successful experience in strategic planning.
