Your New Role...

The Design Manager will handle medium to high complexity design assignments leading licensees in Product Development for Licensed Trading cards with multiple IP. Product management of categories include, but not limited to: Trading Cards and related toy categories..

Your Role Accountabilities...

Product Management:

+ Works closely with WB internal partners to develop compelling and innovative ideas and designs that execute the overall business goals

+ Guides multiple licensed partners through approval submissions at all stages through WB approval process in a detailed and organized manner

+ Works with various interdepartmental WB brand teams and internal brand assurance team members to ensure accuracy and legal compliance of all products

+ Product reviews at all production stages

Product Development:

+ Implements ideas with an understanding of overall marketplace and business climate

+ Translates Warner Bros. story telling into design for product application

+ Utilizes knowledge of manufacturing processes for design and development

+ Provides hands-on product development guidance, i.e.: draw-overs and art direction

+ Works with larger overall design team on presentations when required

+ Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

+ 5+ years of experience in graphic design / illustration / trading card design

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

+ BFA, BA or 2 years Technical College in a design discipline preferred

Knowledge/Skills

+ Proven organizational skills

+ Must possess technical knowledge of basic manufacturing product construction

+ Knowledge/awareness of competitive businesses

+ Advanced skills working with Illustrator and Photoshop

+ Additional computer skills, including InDesign, Word, Excel and Power Point

+ Licensing business model experience is a plus

+ Experience in manufacturing overseas a plus

Preferred…

+ Must be a self-starter with a tenacious attitude and a strong work ethic

+ Must be a team player and problem solver

+ Ability to clearly communicate and present vision and ideas

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines

+ Availability to travel

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $82,670.00 - $153,530.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
