Job Summary and Qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Operational Resilience Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring stability, security, and continuity of HCA’s IT services. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify risks, assess vulnerabilities, and implement strategies to enhance the organization’s ability to withstand and recover from disruptions. The position will lead the development of resilience frameworks and conduct risk assessments. The position will lead the planning and execution of various IT disaster and cyber recovery scenarios. They will develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of HCA Healthcare’s information systems and technology.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and resilience knowledge, and the ability to align technical decisions with business objectives.
• Serves as process and program leader of operational resiliency efforts.
• Leads the development of IT resilience frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Conducts technology resilience risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
• Monitors emerging risks and recommends appropriate remediation actions.
• Leads the planning and execution of resilience testing, including disaster and cyber recovery exercises and incident response simulations across various technology solutions.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation for resilience and recovery plans, ensuring compliance with recovery standards.
• Works closely with infrastructure and application teams, security, risk management, and other stakeholders to ensure resilience program alignment with organizational goals.
• Produces detailed reports and presentations on resilience issues, including testing outcomes and system vulnerabilities. Presents findings to leadership and stakeholders.
• Provides training, consultation, and content development to various groups including leadership and end-users
• Identifies Process Improvement Opportunities and develops plan(s) to implement; continuously strives to increase process maturity, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
• Complies with all IT Service Management processes, meeting all service level agreements.
• Identifies problems and risks and proposes solutions and/or mitigations.
• Completes all assigned tasks and contributes to the success of Resilience projects and operational efforts
• Communicates with end users and other stakeholders through multiple channels
• Presents on operational resilience topics at user community events, departmental/org events, and other forums as assigned
• Builds and enhances relationships across ITG and other stakeholders within the enterprise
• Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and focus on quick and effective problem resolution
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required
One or more resilience certifications preferred: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Cyber Resilience Professional (CCRP), Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP
EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates must have 7+ years of relevant experience and 1+ years of technical leadership experience required
OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in IT risk management, business continuity, or operational resilience.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and execute on multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge and experience with ITIL framework. ServiceNow experience/knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of use case analysis, workflow design, and recovery procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels of the enterprise in a cooperative and effective manner, in a variety of media and formats.
• Ability to write for different platforms and audiences. Good listener/interviewer/note-taker and researcher.
• Demonstrated conflict management and negotiation skills to consistently achieve “win-win” results

• Proven organizational skills
• High energy, ambitious self-starter with an aptitude for learning and customer focus
