Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
+ The Program Instructor in the Perinatal Education Department, under limited supervision, provides education services in the community, work sites, and Trinity Health Ann Arbor (THAA) facilities as sponsored and arranged by the Perinatal Education Department of THAA.
+ Instruction is provided for New Parent Training as well as Childbirth Training on weekdays and weekends.
+ Contingent, non-benefited position, classes presented using a combination of in person and/or virtual training, generally 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weeknights, with weekend class options generally held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Expect 1 - 2 classes per month.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
+ Provide education services in a friendly, professional manner.
+ Assure confidentiality of information to all participants in learning sessions.
+ Provide feedback to leadership regarding program operation, design, and modification as needed.
+ Initiates communication of program and participant needs such as AV, teaching materials, pamphlets, brochures, or copying of handouts for participant packets.
+ Assists in program evaluation and identification of future program needs.
+ Actively supports promotional efforts of educational curriculum offerings.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Formal education/certification/licensure or training directly relevant to perinatal education.
+ Experience: Documented experience and training in the delivery of perinatal education. Active in relevant continuing education.
