Safety-Kleen Environmental is looking for a **Central Route Planner** to join our team in Norwell, MA. The **Central Route Planner** organizes and coordinates weekly routing for multiple locations, ensuring customer commitments are met while maximizing efficiency across drivers, trucks, and territories.
Pay Rate: $60-$70K

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with field partners.
+ Plan and optimize weekly routes for ~10–15 locations and ~50–65 trucks.
+ Monitor service plan alignment within routing cycles, making adjustments when misalignments occur.
+ Create routes that achieve on-time customer service while keeping workloads, capacity, and drive times balanced.
+ Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers to analyze and refine service territories.
+ Maximize asset utilization of drivers and company assets.
+ Track and analyze routing metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
+ Review weekly routing performance, identify improvements, and share feedback with managers.
+ Apply order management practices to build, review, and correct service orders.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support Clean Harbors’ business needs.
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Bachelor’s degree or specialized training in business, logistics or related subjects preferred.
+ 3+ years’ experience in transportation, operations, or supply chain related field.
+ Experience in Used Motor Oil operations or environmental waste solutions is a plus.
+ Ability to make discretionary decisions
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
+ Familiarity with routing software and TMS platforms.
+ Strong time management and organizational skills
+ Strong problem-solving skills
+ Comfortable using computers 85% or more of each workday
+ Written and oral communication
+ Strong communication skills
+ Knowledge of Fleet Compliance systems and software.
+ Customer service aptitude.
+ Detailed oriented
