The **Data Analyst II** will serve as the foremost business partner and knowledge source on the utilization of data platforms to implement analytical use cases. As a member of the Center of Excellence data squad within the IT/OT Data department, they will be responsible for ensuring the successful adoption of data platform solutions within the business, as well as serving as the key conduit for information on platform capabilities. This will be a highly valued and visible role within a rapidly growing clean energy enterprise. The ideal candidate will couple their experience building ETL, semantic models, and business intelligence dashboards with excellent communication and collaboration skills to onboard and upskill business users, partner in use case implementations, provide user support, and ultimately transfer ownership.
Role Responsibilities:
+ Onboard and upskill business users, ensuring they are equipped to leverage data tools effectively
+ Prepare educational materials to guide users on self-performing common analytical tasks
+ Collaborate on use case implementations, translating business needs into technical solutions
+ Serve as a communication ambassador for the data platform, actively promoting its capabilities, sharing success stories, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across departments. This includes translating technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical stakeholders and advocating for platform adoption through clear, consistent messaging
+ Build and manage ETL pipelines within data platforms, preferably Microsoft Fabric, to support scalable and reliable data integration
+ Design and optimize semantic models and DAX calculations to enable intuitive and performant analytics experiences
+ Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, ensuring smooth adoption and usage
+ Facilitate ownership transfer, enabling business teams to independently manage and evolve their data solutions
Job Requirements and Experiences:
+ A Bachelor’s degree or higher with a quantitative focus in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, data science, operations research, or related areas is required
+ A minimum of 5 years of work experience building analytical solutions in PowerBI
+ A minimum of 1 year or more building ETL processes in data platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Fabric preferred
+ Proven experience with Power BI, Power Query, and data platforms
+ Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and DAX
+ Proficient in Python and SQL
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for enabling others
+ Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, OT, and business stakeholders
Work Environment:
This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
**Pay range:** The annual base salary range for this position in Chicago is $119,000 - $130,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
