What’s in it for you?
Sage Intacct is looking for a Senior Content Designer to work with our team of product
content designers. As a Senior Content Designer at Sage, your mission will be to
elevate and simplify our customers’ work by surfacing the right content at the right
time. Your words will become the roadmap for our customers – from CFOs to
accounting staff – enabling them to navigate and fully leverage our Sage Intacct
products. You won’t just be explaining our product; you’ll be an essential guide,
making complex workflows intuitive and approachable.
If you love words, have a seasoned background in technical and UX writing for
customers of business software, excel in clear, concise communication, and you enjoy
collaborative team settings to produce exceptional content – you’ll want to read

details nobody told you about.

quarterly releases and rapid content turnaround. You believe that teamwork
and cross-team collaboration improve results for customers.
•Resourceful & Inquisitive: When user stories lack clarity, you are
persistent and determined when chasing down information. Your
investigative flair kicks in, fueling your quest for precision through hands-on
product interaction and collaborative probing.
Your First 30 Days – Personalized Onboarding
Your first month will be all about meeting teams, building relationships, and learning.
Your tailored onboarding plan will guide you as you learn the basics of Sage Intacct
and other Sage products, explore our content tools, processes, and meet your content
and product team members. With a dedicated mentor (peer) and a supportive leader,
you’ll feel confident enough to transition from understanding Sage Intacct basics to
actively shaping its voice and content by your second month.
Minimum Qualifications:
•You bring at least 6 years of experience in technical writing/crafting
customer-facing material for a complex software product including online
content and UI text.
•You thrive in cross-functional teamwork, favoring collective insight over
working in isolation.
•You are known for your technical competence and are comfortable creating,
modifying, storing, and publishing content using a variety of methods and
tools. You might even have a technical trick or two to teach us!
•You’ll be prepared to share a portfolio of prior technical and UX writing.
•Proven ability to write clear, detailed instructions and examples through
hands-on product usage and collaboration with the product team.
•Possess a track record of writing and editing content adeptly within tight
timeframes, ready to adapt to the pace of quarterly releases.
•Experienced in architecting content with a strategic lens, including topic-
based structures, re-use strategies, localization, accessibility and meticulous
audience and task analyses.
•Experienced in creating content plans, including audience and task
analysis. Proficiency in using Madcap Flare or other online authoring tools.
•Some accounting knowledge, preferable accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and other subledgers.
Key Responsibilities:
Elevate and simplify human work by surfacing the right content at the right
time for our customers/users, from CFOs to staff accountants.
•Drive all aspects of content development from planning through release.
•Research, write, and maintain high-quality content that supports users’
information needs, using a mixture of help topics, release notes, field help,
instructional videos, in-product messages, and other supporting content.
•Organize and structure information effectively, employing industry best
practices for information architecture, searchability, and contextual access.
•Continuously improve content to help customers achieve their business
goals, attain product mastery, and self-service their information needs.
•Participate in research and development cycles, gaining insight into audience
needs and providing valuable input on product design, experience, and
usability.
•Get hands-on in development sandboxes to understand and validate product
setup and usage.
•Review or create user interface text, such as field and menu labels, in
collaboration with product managers and user experience designers.
•Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all content by adhering to
style guides, voice and tone guidelines, and established writing standards.
•Work with and learn from a variety of colleagues, including Product
Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, Instructional Designers, and Support.
