Our client, a leader in innovative technology development, is seeking a Research & Development Engineer to join their team. As a Research & Development Engineer, you will be part of the R&D department supporting cross-functional teams. **Job Title:** Research & Development Engineer

**Location:** 50 E Algonquin Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60017

Pay Range: $35.00 Hourly

What's the Job?

+ Support the research and development of air purification, catalysis, thermal management, and fuel cell technologies that provide competitive advantages at the component and system levels

+ Work with cross-functional R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive the development of key technologies from early design to commercialization

+ Design, build, and test chemicals, materials, subsystem prototypes, and gas and liquid test stands

+ Analyze data to identify critical factors and gain a fundamental understanding of the science behind key technologies

+ Communicate results effectively to project leads, leadership, and customers

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field

+ Experience in gas processing, lab operation, and data analysis

+ Strong knowledge of chemical analysis and material characterization techniques

+ Ability to analyze and solve challenging problems across multiple technologies

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create presentations and reports
