    Position: FMS Logistics Analyst Journeyman

     

    Overview: ITC Defense is looking for an FMS Logistics Analyst, Journeyman supporting PMA-242 (Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Weapons) at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plays a critical role in ensuring the Navy and Marine Corps’ guns, rockets, and missile systems are effectively supported throughout their life cycle. The individual supports managing Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, including maintenance planning, supply support, technical manuals, training, facilities, and manpower considerations. The position requires close coordination with engineers, program managers, industry partners, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), where the logistician supports allied and partner nations in sustaining U.S.-produced strike weapons. The work also involves monitoring reliability and maintainability trends, addressing obsolescence issues, and supporting configuration management efforts tied to engineering changes.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provides logistics support to the government by assisting with the development of pre-case, initial, and sustaining Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements for FMS cases.

    + Supports program efforts, including the analysis of special FMS logistics issues and requirements for major weapon systems programs.

    + Analyzes unique and vexing FMS logistic problem areas and recommends solutions.

    + Addresses issues of a complexity and significance beyond generic logistics requirements and provides research, analysis, and recommendations to senior personnel.

    + Supports managing Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, including maintenance planning, supply support, technical manuals, training, facilities, and manpower considerations.

    + Assist in the development and updating of key sustainment documentation, such as life cycle sustainment plans and logistics support analyses, while also coordinating requirements that feed into acquisition strategies and procurement packages.

    + Analyze logistics data and provide recommendations to resolve sustainment challenges, ensuring weapon systems remain reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and greater than three (3) years of work experience in a field related to FMS, logistics, program management, or a technical or business analysis discipline related to acquisition, life cycle management, analysis, or planning.

    + U.S. Secret Security Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance or public trust is required for people that require classified/public trust access and the need to know.

    + This will be defined on a task order basis per the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience working with NAVAIR or Army program offices or similar program offices.

    + Proficiency in preparing logistics assessments, business case analyses, and cost-benefit studies.

    + Experience with technical data packages, provisioning, and supply support documentation.

    + Experience managing logistics planning for aviation weapons systems.

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Maryland, ITC Defense is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually.

     

    You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
