    Job Title: Superintendent Job Description

     

    Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS). The role involves installing APA Solar Racking systems for ground mount or rooftop jobs, managing construction projects, ensuring compliance with construction drawings, and maintaining quality assurance and control. The superintendent will work to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to all regulations and acquiring necessary permits.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to ensure compliance with issued construction drawings and correct any defects promptly.

    + Manage construction schedules to ensure on-time delivery and completion.

    + Ensure all regulations are met and required permits are acquired, coordinating with utilities and other permitting agencies.

    + Identify and address elements of proposed project designs and construction requirements that could lead to disputes or increased costs.

    + Provide professional oversight to ensure timely completion within budget.

    + Monitor, evaluate, and report on the operational and financial status of construction projects.

    + Communicate effectively with internal departments and external subcontractors and suppliers for necessary revisions or addendums.

    + Evaluate and approve payment applications and invoices related to construction capital projects, ensuring budget compliance.

    + Manage field operations, including the execution of subcontracts and component procedures.

    + Select vendors, contractors, and subcontractors that provide exemplary, professional service in a cost-efficient manner.

    + Exercise professional judgment in selecting subcontractors to complete construction projects while managing company needs and maintaining productive relationships.

    + Maintain consistent and accurate records of activities throughout projects, including final reviews post-completion.

    + Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies, complying with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

    + Schedule projects, material shipments, surveys, and other daily activities.

    + Supervise all solar installation activities, ensuring the safety and compliance of solar projects.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in site construction management in commercial and utility-scale solar PV fields.

    + Direct experience managing projects over 1 Megawatt and all aspects of solar projects, including civil, electrical, and mechanical.

    + Knowledge in the solar and construction industry.

    + Ability to prepare reports, manage budgets, and maintain records.

    + Proficiency in using new computer programs, including MS Office products such as MS Project.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    + NABCEP Installer certification is preferred.

    + NFPA 70E certification is preferred.

    + OSHA 30 certification is required.

    Work Environment

    This job is generally performed outdoors on a job site. The superintendent will work in weather extremes, including inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.

    This is a Contract position based out of West Lake Hills, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
