We are seeking a talented PLC Engineer to lead the design and troubleshooting of control systems for industrial equipment and automation projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the compliance and functionality of facility electrical systems. Additionally, the PLC Engineer will guide electrical trades personnel in resolving electrical issues related to extrusion manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Design and troubleshoot control systems for industrial equipment and automation projects.
+ Ensure compliance of facility electrical systems.
+ Lead electrical trades personnel in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues with extrusion manufacturing equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control systems.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
+ 3+ years of experience in electrical troubleshooting.
+ 3+ years of experience with schematics/blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in heavy machining and metal extrusion.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy machinery and equipment operation.
+ Proficiency in HMI programming and use of RSLogix5000.
+ Experience with electrical maintenance and use of multimeters.
Work Environment
The position is situated in a manufacturing floor environment with a 60% desk and 40% floor time distribution. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM or a 4x10 hours shift option. Employees are required to wear boots, pants, and PPE such as hard hats and glasses due to the industrial environment. The work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat, while winter months may bring slower production and reduced hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
