    Job Description

    The Patient Education Specialist will support a high-volume Endocrinology practice specializing in Metabolic Medicine, Thyroid disorders, and Diabetes. This role is primarily phone-based but may include in-person patient education sessions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in clinical coordination and patient instruction, with strong proficiency in EPIC EMR.

    Responsibilities

    + Educate patients on glucose meter usage, Ozempic injection techniques, and other treatment protocols.

    + Confirm prior authorizations and process medication refills.

    + Place and follow up on lab orders.

    + Communicate with patients and providers to ensure continuity of care.

    + Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.

    Required Qualifications

    + Experience in patient education or clinical support, preferably in endocrinology or chronic disease management.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + EPIC EMR experience is REQUIRED.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
