Job Title: Distribution Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Distribution Engineer to join our team, focusing on projects in Houston, Texas. This role requires a professional with over 5 years of experience in handling Utility projects, with a deep understanding of DDS software and expertise in pole relocation and replacement projects.
Responsibilities
+ Design and execute power delivery and distribution projects using AutoCAD and DDS software.
+ Manage pole relocations, replacements, unit counts, and adhere to standards and DOT regulations.
+ Support Centerpoint or AEP projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions.
+ Perform QA and QC checks on work completed by junior designers and engineers.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in distribution engineering and design.
+ Strong proficiency in DDS and Distribution Design Studio software.
+ 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
+ In-depth knowledge of power distribution, utility design, and engineering standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proven experience in handling pole relocation and replacement projects.
+ Ability to understand and implement DOT regulations.
+ Strong leadership potential with an interest in growing into lead or managerial roles.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
