    Designer/ Drafting Tech – Electrical Distribution Systems

    What You’ll Do

    + Conduct visual inspections of overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment.

    + Collect and analyze field data using tablets, GPS, and other digital tools.

    + Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports to support system reliability.

    + Perform audits and inspections of pad-mounted equipment, poles, lighting systems, and joint-use facilities.

    + Learn and apply standards from the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility construction guidelines.

    + Meet weekly project goals and contribute to a high-performing team.

    Skills That Set You Apart

    + Basic knowledge of telecommunications and electrical distribution systems.

    + Ability to start as a field technician and transition into a designer role within ~3 months.

    + Familiarity with AutoCAD and joint-use operations is a plus.

    + Previous experience in distribution design is highly valued.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.

    + Field experience in electric utilities or telecommunications is a bonus—but not required.

    + Comfortable using MS Office and other software tools.

    + Valid driver’s license required.

    + No prior certifications needed—we’ll train you!

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
