• Automation Engineer

    Actalent (Holland, OH)


    Work in a oversight capacity and having knowledge of the design and implementation of automation and robot equipment. Work with vendors and assist in managing the project from cradle to inception.

     

    • Implement complex ideas into efficient automated systems for regional applications-Be able to create spec development.

    + Identify manual operations and make suggestions on how to automate them, either by creating a new tool or piece of equipment.

    + Strong Mechanical equipment design experience or mechanical equipment building experience.

    + Previous Capital Equipment experience on projects and being able to lead a project from inception (this is a critical piece of the role)

    • Oversee design processes for systems that meet regional operational goals.

    • Create prototypes, conduct quality control and functional tests, and troubleshoot system malfunctions.

    • Adhere to project timelines and budgetary constraints.

    • Monitor performance of applications and machines, and write comprehensive reports and guidelines.

    • Manage documentation and provide training to SMEs and operations teams.

    • Collaborate with multiple functional groups within the region.

    • 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, with IT systems exposure.

    • Understanding of Functional Safety and relevant IEC/ANSI/ISA Standards

    • Proficiency in Manufacturing Operations, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, PLC programming, and MS Project/Office/Outlook.

    • Working knowledge of Robotics, Vision systems, emerging trends in AI and Data.

    • Working knowledge of OT Networks and Security. (User/Device Based Access)

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is onsite at a battery plant.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $58.00/hr.
