Job Title: Civil Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Civil Designer with a strong understanding in drafting and design of civil-related projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in site development, grading, storm water, and utility design and must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
+ Design and draft civil engineering land development projects.
+ Develop site plans and perform site development tasks.
+ Execute grading and storm water management designs.
+ Design utility systems and manage storm drainage systems.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Participate in erosion and sedimentation control planning.
+ Contribute to NPDES permitting processes.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Civil Engineering principles.
+ Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ Familiarity with site development and land development processes.
+ Understanding of drainage and grading design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of MicroStation, Survey CAD, GIS, or similar programs.
+ Experience with storm drainage design.
+ Familiarity with erosion and sedimentation control, storm water regulations, and NPDES permitting.
+ 0-5 years of experience in civil design or related field.
+ Resident observation and/or construction inspection experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is primarily in-office, with some remote work flexibility available under certain circumstances. The work environment offers growth potential and is family-oriented, providing flexibility. The firm offers merit-based bonuses, including at least one bonus per year, and is situated in a location appealing for families.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.50/hr.
