First Shift Lab Technician
Job Description
Perform laboratory tests and tasks using both conventional and computerized machines. Conduct laboratory work according to established standards, determining chemical and physical characteristics or composition. Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments. Maintain records by entering data, updating information, and tracking results. Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding formulas and mixture processes. Ensure a clean and safe working environment by cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating standard equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct laboratory tests and work using conventional and computerized equipment.
+ Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition.
+ Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
+ Enter data to maintain records and track results.
+ Respond to standard customer questions about formulas and mixture processes.
+ Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory work, chemistry, and formulation.
+ Ability to perform color matching and work with powders, coatings, and liquids.
+ High School Diploma or GED is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
