    Mass Spectrometry Metrologist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Support Metrologist to join our Bioanalytical team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the maintenance and calibration of Mass Spectrometry instrumentation while transitioning to new software systems. If you have a passion for chemistry and enjoy problem-solving in a laboratory setting, this position offers room for growth and development.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Mass Spectrometry instrumentation.

    + Diagnose and address issues within the instrumentation.

    + Handle and transition software applications from Analyst software to Sciex OS.

    + Serve as a subject matter expert on Mass Spectrometry and related processes.

    + Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, working closely with the Application Administrator and coordinating with the IT department.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in chemistry, HPLC, LC-MS, and Mass Spectrometry.

    + Experience with repair and metrology.

    + B.S. or Masters in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related life science degree.

    + 10+ years of experience working with Mass Spec.

    + 2+ years of experience with Sciex Mass Spec instruments.

    + 2-3+ years of repair experience on Mass Spec.

    + 10+ years of experience with Analyst software.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with Sciex OS is a plus.

    + Desire to expand knowledge and skills in HPLC and instrumentation repair.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a lab setting within the Bioanalytical team, which consists of approximately 100 employees, including 60 chemists. The environment is predominantly lab-focused, offering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
