    We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team and provide comprehensive support for various control systems and networks. This role involves working with advanced technologies to ensure stable operations and drive improvements in system reliability and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide support for Quantum and Momentum PLC hardware and SCADAs, including remote IO using Modbus and Modbus+ network communications.

    + Support GE iFIX control systems, including SCADA’s, graphic design, and web services.

    + Support Siemens PCS7 Hardware, Software, and Configuration, including OS Server, OS Client, Web server, troubleshooting, Remote IO, and Profibus network.

    + Identify and resolve issues related to hardware and software to ensure stable operation, including patches, software updates, and firmware updates.

    + Implement projects to address control system component obsolescence and improve reliability.

    + Lead and support control systems upgrade projects and installation of new control systems from planning and design to installation and commissioning.

    + Manage vendor service contracts and maintain critical spare parts inventory.

    + Implement control strategies and programming to interface with and control physical devices, ensuring equipment operates within the integrity operating envelope.

    + Update Network Hierarchy, General Arrangement, and other Engineering Drawings to reflect changes.

    + Configure and design custom graphic displays and trends.

    + Maintain system documentation and participate in the change management process related to control systems.

    + Troubleshoot system hardware, software, network, and instrument bus technologies.

    + Provide specification information and commissioning support for instrumentation.

    + Support Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and participate in change management related to control systems.

    + Implement identified and requested projects.

    + Provide support for Canary Historian.

    Essential Skills

    + PLC programming expertise.

    + Experience with Siemens or Mitocone.

    + Proficiency in programming and supporting control systems.

    + BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

    + Understanding of P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams.

    + Understanding of electrical elementary and loop diagrams.

    + 2+ years' experience programming DCS systems (Siemens PCS7, DeltaV, Rockwell, etc.).

    + Manufacturing experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in any industry is applicable.

    + An Electrical Engineering Degree is also acceptable.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is laid-back and located on a manufacturing floor. The Dewey Plant specializes in producing colorants for household products, such as the dye in TIDE PODS. The plant is currently undergoing a significant reorganization and is focused on building back up its talent.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Inman, South Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
