    We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for our Irving location. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist within a licensed pharmacy, performing technical nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control. This role is crucial in supporting high-quality, high-touch care to help cancer patients achieve more breakthroughs and victories in their fight against cancer.

    Responsibilities

    + Show initiative and take an enthusiastic proactive approach to work.

    + Exhibit a sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills.

    + Check all orders for completeness of information.

    + Read and interpret prescriptions accurately.

    + Verify patient information and proper physician authorization.

    + Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.

    + Assist Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.

    + Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by pharmacy regulation and only at the direction of the supervising pharmacist after their review of the prescription.

    + Maintain a neat and clean workstation.

    + Accurately process all orders in a timely manner.

    + Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software templates.

    + Support phone calls and other tasks as assigned by management.

    + Lift up to 40 pounds as needed for fulfillment support.

    + Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of pharmacy experience

    + Ability to type 35 words per minute

    + Valid Texas pharmacy state license required

    + Kentucky license needed once onboarded

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school graduate or equivalent

    + Data entry experience

    + Pharmacy Technician Certification

    + Strong typing skills

    Work Environment

    This is an onsite role requiring a full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The job requires sitting or standing for extensive periods. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with potential for weekends or overtime based on business needs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
