Role Summary: Director of Manufacturing OperationsPrimary DutiesOperational Oversight & Team Leadership
+ Direct daily production activities to ensure alignment with organizational standards for quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
+ Guide and develop a team of supervisors, production planners, and materials coordinators.
+ Design and execute operational strategies focused on lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and project teams to meet production timelines and customer expectations.
Production Scheduling & Execution
+ Manage the overall production calendar, including capacity assessments and work order management.
+ Leverage ERP/MRP platforms to ensure precise and proactive production planning.
+ Track and analyze performance indicators such as delivery punctuality, output rates, and product quality; implement corrective measures when necessary.
ERP/MRP System Leadership
+ Act as the internal expert for the company’s ERP/MRP infrastructure.
+ Maintain high standards of data accuracy and system functionality to support forecasting, scheduling, and inventory management.
+ Work closely with IT to enhance system capabilities and support new technology rollouts.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
+ Develop and enforce inventory strategies that reduce surplus and obsolete stock while ensuring material readiness.
+ Supervise logistics operations including receiving, warehousing, and material distribution.
+ Optimize inventory turnover and maintain appropriate safety stock levels in line with demand forecasts.
Outsourced Manufacturing & Supplier Relations
+ Oversee relationships with external manufacturers and fabrication partners to supplement internal production capacity.
+ Ensure outsourced components meet defined specifications for quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
+ Establish performance metrics and dashboards for suppliers; lead initiatives to enhance vendor performance and reliability.
Qualifications & Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline (required).
+ Minimum of 10 years in progressive manufacturing leadership roles.
+ In-depth understanding of production systems, operational workflows, and industry best practices.
+ Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP platforms such as Genius, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics.
+ Demonstrated success in managing production control, inventory, and materials in a discrete manufacturing setting.
+ Proven experience in managing outsourced fabrication and coordinating with suppliers.
+ Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and organizational capabilities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
