Join an inclusive and inter-disciplinary team dedicated to the design and manufacturing of electrical sub-systems and PCBA designs for satellite avionic systems. This role offers immense exposure and collaboration with various core groups, guiding hardware from design through to production and operation.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with the Design Engineering team to provide PCB feedback and address manufacturing challenges early in product development.
+ Support the operations of the PCB fabrication facility, focusing on scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
+ Implement and optimize fabrication processes such as etching, drilling, plating, and lamination.
+ Adhere to cleanroom procedures to prevent contamination, especially during imaging and lamination.
+ Prepare and calibrate equipment for multilayer PCB processes, including lamination, drilling, imaging, plating, and etching.
+ Drive PCBA Manufacturing Qualification processes both in-house and at the contract manufacturer (CM).
+ Define manufacturing readiness requirements and lead milestone reviews to ensure production readiness.
+ Investigate and develop new manufacturing technologies and methodologies to enhance PCBA quality and reliability.
+ Resolve operational issues during pre-production builds by collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Reliability Engineering.
+ Investigate production failures and defects, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
+ Identify opportunities for risk reduction and simplification of PCBA manufacturing processes.
+ Deliver manufacturing process capabilities, including equipment capability, quality controls, and standardized rework practices.
+ Monitor the success of products through production ramp and provide status reports on PCBAs progress.
+ Deploy and qualify polymerics equipment for high volume production.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical engineering, PCB design, testing, and manufacturing.
+ Proficiency with microcontrollers, SOCs, FPGAs, power supplies, electric motors, high-speed, and RF systems.
+ Experience in the development, design, and delivery of electrical sub-systems and PCBA designs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent preferred.
+ Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs from concept to production.
+ Experience in project management of technical projects.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite in Northridge, CA. Employees enjoy benefits such as 7 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO annually. The role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the release of a satellite constellation providing internet access. Upon project completion, there are opportunities for redeployment to other projects with the Actalent Services team.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
