Job Title: Roadway Technician
Job Description
The Roadway Technician will be responsible for conducting visual inspections of roadway conditions across different sections of an assigned district. Utilizing a tablet, you will document findings such as drainage issues, overgrown vegetation, damaged signs, guardrails, fencing, and faded markings. Reports must be submitted in real-time while on the road, adhering to company and DOT safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct visual inspections of roadway conditions within the assigned district.
+ Document findings using a tablet, including issues like drainage, vegetation overgrowth, and damaged infrastructure.
+ Submit inspection reports in real-time while on the field.
+ Plan weekly inspection routes in collaboration with City/County Inspectors.
+ Ensure compliance with company and DOT safety standards.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in roadway inspection and field reporting.
+ Ability to work independently and outdoors.
+ Proven work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with partners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with utility locating and inspection processes.
+ Strong references demonstrating outdoor work experience.
+ Familiarity with engineering and DOT contracts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
