Job Title: Test Engineering TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Test Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating mechanical, electrical, and environmental test systems. You will execute tests in accordance with defined procedures, engineering instructions, AS9100 requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Responsibilities
+ Install, calibrate, and monitor instrumentation including sensors, strain gauges, thermocouples, and load cells.
+ Operate and maintain data acquisition systems ensuring accuracy of measurements and data integrity.
+ Document test results, generate reports, and communicate findings to engineering teams.
+ Troubleshoot test equipment and setups to resolve technical issues.
+ Support the development and improvement of test fixtures and processes.
+ Maintain compliance with AS9100 procedures, recordkeeping, and traceability requirements.
+ Ensure laboratory safety, organization, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW and programming.
+ Ability to set up and operate test equipment.
+ Associate's Degree or equivalent experience (entry-level candidates welcome).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the aerospace and defense industry is preferred.
+ Ability to collaborate with both engineering and floor technicians.
+ Experience with missiles, avionics, and cable harnesses.
+ Skill in rewriting work instructions.
Work Environment
This position is onsite at an aerospace manufacturing facility operating on a 4/10 schedule, with the option to work Fridays if needed. The working hours are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will have the unique opportunity to be the first test technician in this role, contributing to a rapidly growing team. This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, Mississippi.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
