Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Civil Engineer will execute technical work assignments on municipal engineering projects either individually or as part of a project team. This role is open to engineers with all levels of experience, so tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on licensure status and experience level. Candidates should have either an EIT or PE certification. This position could involve Municipal, Land Development, or Water Resources engineering.

Responsibilities

+ Execute technical assignments on municipal engineering projects.

+ Collaborate with project teams or work independently, depending on experience level.

+ Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting tasks.

+ Engage in Municipal, Land Development, or Water Resources projects.

+ Participate in the design, grading, stormwater management, and site development tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

+ EIT or PE certification.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ At least 3 years of professional experience.

+ Experience or interest in Municipal engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Revit and other civil design software.

+ Knowledge of transportation and drainage engineering.

+ Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Work Environment

The work environment has a family feel for a large local firm with a business casual dress code. The company operates in multiple offices throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area, providing a supportive environment for training and mentoring engineers to grow, pass their EIT, and eventually become a PE. Employees enjoy up to 2 weeks of vacation and 6 major holidays during the initial 12-month period.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
